The ROOMVENT 2022 will be held in Xi’an, China. Xi’an, known as “Chang’an” in ancient times, is one of the four world’s most famous ancient capitals. Thirteen Dynasties including the Western Zhou, the Han, the Sui and the Tang established their capitals here. The city’s capital status lasted for more than 1100 years. As regards the number of dynasties, the span of time and the influence in Chinese history, Xi’an ranks first among Chinese ancient capitals.
Visit
Terracotta Warriors
The Terracotta Warriors is a part of the Qin emperor’s huge tomb complex. It is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BC and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife, and to make sure that he had people to rule over.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty and originally had five stories, although the structure was rebuilt in 704 during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian and its exterior brick facade renovated during the Ming Dynasty. One of the pagoda many functions was to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and travelers Xuanzang. Now this well-preserved holy place for Buddhist has been the symbol of Xian.
Xi’an Bell Tower
In the downtown area of Xi’an at the intersection where the North, South, East and West Streets meet, stands a magnificent classical building, the Bell Tower. The Bell Tower of Xi’an built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty, is a symbol of the city of Xi’an and one of the grandest of its kind in China. The Bell Tower also contains several large bronze-cast bells from the Tang Dynasty.
Tumbler Beauty
As an internet celebrity of Xi’an, “Tumbler Beauty” is the spokesperson and city card for the city, who fits well with the ancient capitals of Han and Tang Dynasties in Xi’an. She is not hidden in the deep palace, but in a place where people can see and reach out, so she not only becomes popular in Xi'an, but also has fans all over the country.
City Walls
Xi’an City Walls are some of the largest, oldest and best preserved of their kind. They were originally built under the rule of the Hongwu Emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang, as a military defensive system. The massive walls measure 12 m high and 16 m wide at the base, and is 14 km in circumference.
Huaqing Hot Spring
Huaqing Hot Spring has been the site of a famous imperial bathing pool and a history of 3,000 years. It is a National Cultural Relic and one of China's Hundred Famous Gardens. Hot Spring is located at about 35 km east of the city of Xi'an, at the foot of Li Mountain.
